Shepadoodle History
Goldendoodles first began to appear in the 1990's. They were bred for their non-shedding and hypoallergenic coats. They are a cross between a Poodle and Golden Retriever. They are often compared to a Labradoodle in sizes and coat types.The Shepadoodle is a cross between the German Shepherd and the Poodle. Shepadoodles are know for being extremely smart, and loyal. They are also easy to train. German Shepherd's have fantastic traits of loyalty, strength, obedience, intelligence, and protection and tend to pass these on to their Shepadoodle puppies.
SHEPADOODLEGENERATIONS
Different Shepadoodle Generations
There are many different types of Shepadoodles that are being bred. The most common are the F1 and F1Bs. Here are some of the most commonly found Shepadoodle Generations.- F1 is a first generation Shepadoodle. It is a German Shepherd bred to a Poodle.
- F1B is a second generation Shepadoodle. It is a first generation Shepadoodle bred back to a poodle.
- F2 is a second generation Shepadoodle. It is either a first generation bred to a first generation or it is a first generation bred to a second generation or higher.
- Multi-Gen is a third generation Shepaddoodle or greater.

Different Shepadoodle Sizes
Shepadoodle come in many different sizes and not all breeders use the same classifications for each size. Here is the most common classification of Shepadoodle sizes.Two Common Shepadoodle Sizes:
- Medium Shepadoodle: 35lbs - 50lbs
- Standard Shepadoodle: 50lbs and up
